Carrow House Creatives CIC is a community interest company based at Carrow House in Norwich, Norfolk. Our primary aim is to provide affordable, safe, and inclusive studio space for artists and creatives in Norwich.
At the heart of our mission is a commitment to creating accessible opportunities for marginalised and underrepresented members of the creative community — ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, identity, or circumstance, has the chance to create, connect, and thrive.
We believe that access to creative space benefits both practitioners and the wider community — supporting wellbeing, tackling loneliness, and promoting mindful, creative practice as a means of improving mental health and building sustainable creative businesses.
Through workshops, exhibitions, and creative events, we engage the public in accessible creative experiences. We also support the professional development of our members through mentoring, training, exhibitions, and peer collaboration.
We're recruiting for our board
Carrow House Creatives CIC is a community interest company based in Norwich. We provide accessible creative workspace and nurture a peer-led community of creatives, with a focus on collaboration, mutual support, and positive local impact. We’ve developed within the wider context of Norwich Unity Hub — a shared building bringing together organisations and individuals working across creative and social impact activity.

We’re recruiting three non-executive Directors to strengthen governance and help shape our next phase:
- Chair of the Board – lead effective Board meetings and decision-making, support clear governance/operations boundaries
- Strategy Director – support strategic planning, partnerships, and realistic next steps for sustainable growth
- Finance Director – provide Board-level financial oversight and support budgeting and sustainability decisions (liaising with bookkeeper + accountant)
These are voluntary, unpaid positions.
Time commitment: Board meetings every 3 months + light input between meetings.
Who we’re looking for: people with leadership / strategy / finance experience who can offer constructive challenge and support an evolving organisation.

Level 5 is a vibrant, creative hub situated on the fifth floor of Carrow House, managed by Carrow House Creatives. Tailored for artists, designers, and creative innovators from Norwich and Norfolk, our spacious studios are designed to inspire creativity and collaboration. Each studio features large, bright spaces flooded with natural light, perfect for brainstorming, designing, and change-making.
